Because i dont want my plants to grow too big i have been using a 12/12 light cycle but im not sure when or how to trigger flowering, any advice wld be great, thanks guys
dude you can flower whenever you want, its the yeild that you wanna worry about, the more you can veg it, the more bud you get, and 12/12 light cycle is for flowering, IE "shorter days longer nights" if your wanting to veg depending on light go 20/4 18/6 or 24/0 it might be a good idea for 20/4 that way the plants will have a chance to grow at "nighttime" so to speak, just my opinion. if your not using a timer keep it on 24/0 until you get one
