So I have 2 plants 4weeks into flower in my 1m2 growbox under a 400w hps. Im going on vacation for 11days in a week and a friend is going to water the plants. Im pretty worried about the temps in my box when I go on vacation. Right now they stay between 83 and 90 during the day when the light is on but it hasnt really gotten that hot yet here in switzerland and I'm worried temps in the box could get out of controll when I'm on vacation if it gets really hot outside. Right now the light turns on at 11.30 am and turns off at 11.30 pm. I now realise that it would be much better if the light was on from 8pm until 8 am because then the temps couldnt get too hot. Think changing the cycle now would do more harm than good?
You might want to keep the plants in darkness for 24 hours before changing the cycle, this might help prevent shock from the cycle being changed, best of luck keeping the temp reasonable.
