I have an average sized wardrobe lined with aluminium foil and a 250 wat hps lamp. From what I've read opening the doors now and then should be enough ventillation. Problem is the light causes the temp to go up to 34 degrees! I assume this is too much and I haven't the diy skills to fit a ventillation system.I could leave the doors open some of the time but not all the time. Any sugs?
I would start by getting rid of the foil and using white visqueen instead. The foil won't casue a 34 degree rise but it could help. Also, do you at least have an oscillating fan in there? You might get away with just cracking the door a bit. That could be a problem though when you're flowering and need total darkness. You can also look into getting a remote ballast that won't run as hot. Good luck
Thanks for that.I already have a remote ballast. According to the thermometer its 45 in there today! I'm using an electronic thermometer designed for a babys room. I wonder if I'd get a different reading from a traditional mercury one?(which i havent got).
your worried about it being too hot n its only 45 degrese? its about 75 - 90 in my closet 70 with lights off and my heater running and 90 with my light off and 2 fans running on high.....
