damn bros... my homeboy that I vaped with for a year before he moved to Atlanta just told me that he is thinking about becoming a cop. Now he always been a strong advocate for weed legalization and him thinking about becoming a cop in Georgia of all places doesn't sound right. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think Georgia has Cali weed laws yet. Then he tells me that he is doing it but he wont arrest anyone with any illicit drugs unless they are violent criminals. He also said that he wont arrest anyone for nonsense such as speeding tickets but he will only arrest for actual accidents... Basically I think he is thinking of trying to turn the police into happy weed loving family... Now I think he is doing this because of some previous experiences with the law. He has been arrested for possession a long time ago when we went on to Georgia! basically fucked his life up to the point he had to move down there and do NA (Narcotics anonymous) meetings/ piss tests/get a job or start school or both/pay fees/ or stay in jail for a year with fees + supervision and drug tests. His overall plan is to make weed legal in Georgia ( which I think is impossible but nothing is impossible if you keep working at it) by giving out educational fliers of marijuana facts and having a meeting every week or two. He is thinking this snowball effect around the whole Georgia area will increase awareness thus getting it on the ballot or something. Now here is my main question... Should I move down there and help him with this? my poker and my online classes allows me to move from place to place so I could go down there. or... should I just let him do that and try to up from where I'm at in cali? Seems like I could help more on the front lines you know? by the way... is marijuana fact fliers printed using hemp paper illegal/drug paraphernalia?
I agree with Mithrandir. Don't change your life for this. I don't know how one cop could make weed legal. And even if he plans on becoming a cop, he may not be accepted because of his previous charges. Say he does become a cop. He gets a call and arrives at the scene, there are drugs everywhere and the other cops start arresting people, is he going to say, "let these people go" or what?

Don't. I live in georgia and the only way weed will be legalized is if 48 states go before us. With the exception of Texas I'd say georgia is up there on the list for the last state. It really sucks because of the sheer amount of people in georgia that won't even discuss MJ. How to spread the truth when people don't even give the truth a chance.
