I don't know have an opinion about #1 because I don't know enough about the fed, but the rest is fantastic.
Which is why libertarians don't associate with OWS. some may have tried to get out there early like the young man in the video, but libertarians can only take so much crap before they want to exercise their 2nd amendment rights vigorously. I seriously doubt any real libertarians were out there after the first few days. there may be some claiming it to give the rest of us bad names, though--I've run into several "libertarians" in some other places that talked a lot like Karl Marx.
Well there are some libertarian socialists. Socialism is fine as long as its voluntary its when you force people at gunpoint to participate in socialism that I have a problem.
Not sure but its crazy that a lot of these OWS people are siding with the 1% against their fellow 99%ers. It might just be plain ignorance, there are a lot of ignorant liberals in the OWS movement. OWS.org might be a front though, iI want to know who owns it probably GE.
I drove by the local OWS just tonight... there was a nice big End The Fed sign : ) So I'd say despite OWS.org, there's still some libertarians involved in the movement.
I gotta say, what turned me from being a socialist with like no option for other ways, like state socialism, was the simple "In a libertarian society, socialists could make a socialist community. In a socialist society, could libertarians due the same?" and over time i was like oh shit, i get it now.
Consider this... What did you learn in public school about the Federal Reserve, what does anyone learn about the Federal Reserve in school? Answer: Next to nothing There is usually a good chapter on Andrew Jackson fighting the central bank of his day, but no mention that the same form of bank has been in existence for 98 years now. If the people aren't taught about it, how are they to know
but there are plenty of people who do know about it, and support the system.. those are the ones that i'm talking about..
It is either too horrible for some to believe, or they get kickbacks from the system in place. Amsel (Amschel) Bauer Mayer Rothschild, 1838: "Let me issue and control a Nation's money and I care not who makes its laws". Letter written from London by the Rothschilds to their New York agents introducing their banking method into America: "The few who can understand the system will be either so interested in its profits, or so dependent on its favours, that there will be no opposition from that class, while, on the other hand, that great body of people, mentally incapable of comprehending the tremendous advantage that Capital derives from the system, will bear its burden without complaint and, perhaps, without even suspecting that the system is inimical to their interests."
I wish some of them just said to allow the states to decide over them. It is very difficult to convince a democrat that a free-market won't allow Satan to eat all the poor peoples souls but convincing them that it is better (more ideas, competition among governments) and less corrupt to allow them to regulate in their own state, is much easier. The Constitution is our middle ground.
The demographic your referring to can be expanded upon way beyond your average subsidized citizen. There are vast corporate interests with massive stakes in the system remaining the same or undergoing a controlled collapse. P.S. All I can recall being taught in Pubic Skrool was that Jackson was a drunk who trashed the white house with an epic party the night of his inauguration. Of course I have educated my self to the true nature of this man. never let your schooling interfere with your education.
Me too! I was taught he was a genocidal drunk, who trashed the white house! haha Got to love government run schools! I also had to educate myself!
In reality he fought and won against the bankers, killing the Central Bank. He won the Bank War. Saving the country from becoming slaves of the bankers until Wilson of course. http://www.history.com/this-day-in-history/andrew-jackson-shuts-down-second-bank-of-the-us
