I’m not going to go on a limb saying they are bad- but there is a whole lot more that can go wrong when people are manufacturing this stuff for an unregulated market. I cannot believe so many people on these forums are unaware of what is in their ‘organic’ fertilizer. There are so many shady (and legal) things you can do and continue to call a product ‘natural’ or ‘organic’ Buying products and using them without knowing what’s inside, because somebody recommended, everyone uses it, or it has exotic labeling with cool names is asking for trouble. I am thoroughly disappointed with the amount of people on these forums that are jumping on the hype train, without doing due diligence. Be careful what products you use on your plants and be aware of the risks you’re taking because there are a lot of bad things in the cannabis market that people need to be aware of. One word I have been seeing often is mixed tocopherols. It’s a synthetic vitamin e used for preserving everything from food to dog food. They typically do list ingredients, especially on the organic stuff. If they don't, don't buy it. Solid state NPK? Don't know what that means exactly. It's easy to get caught up in the 'industry'. Basic gardening techniques will take you a long way without spending a lot of $
No they don’t. The chemical make up of synthetic nutrients are identical to something you would make in you compost pile. Plants treat the nutrients in the same way. The issue lies in human error. And lack of understanding and regulation. Remember vapes were killing people? That was because of mixed tocopherols (vitamin e) Being added to vape juice and turning into some nasty chemical. I’m no chemist, how do you or I know what is happening to the fertilizer?

While this article is true this has more to do with large commercial farming where hundreds of thousands of gallons of fertilizer are soaking into the water table. Vs. small indoor gardening.
I'm not sure how true this statement actually is. Maybe more of a naturally occurring fertilizer that is concentrated using additional chemicals. In your example above about Happy frog. that is a soil and doesn't have any added salt-based fertilizers. Tiger bloom is a salt-based nutrient and is something I wouldn't consider Organic. They list their ingredients on the bottle.

Fox farm lists all their ingredients on the bottles and the bags of soil. I'm not sure what this conversation is about. Actually synthetic fertilizers or synthetic fertilizers being sold as organic?
I don't have any. I only grow in 3 or 5-gallon fabric pots and just water enough to keep the soil moist. The biggest issue isn't with organic or non-organic fertilizer it is with using chemical pesticides and fungicides.
I dont "know" exactly what is in the bottled nutes I use....but I use them, and they work. My weed tastes fine, so I'm content for the moment. I use FF Grow Big and Tiger Bloom....and Beastie Bloomz during flower.
