Les claypool is my idol! Not only does he make amazing music, and play with a variety of different side projects, but he wrote an awesome book, and directed/starred in his own awesome film. i've loved primus since the day i heard them, and have followed claypool since. he's a fuckin genius man, glad to see mention of him on the city
Listening to the 'Colonel Les Claypool's fearless flying frog brigade's' album Purple Onion on shrooms probably changed the course of my life... all of claypools works are pure genius... I dont know the name of the song but he did a song with Tom Waits that just sends shivers up my spine... its just out of control...
He is my favorite bassist, Primus is one of my favorite bands. Although I haven't been listening to them for long,I found a new respect for claypool when I saw him at Vibes 07' been 'studying' Primus since What if christmas didn't come this year?
