Legitimate Usage?

Discussion in 'Medical Marijuana Usage and Applications' started by Sebadoh, Sep 21, 2009.

  1. I before posted something detailing slightly my usage of marijuana. I currently live in Pennsylvania, and medical marijuana is not legal here, unfortunately. Only alternative is marinol, which I am not prescribed and would not want to be, I've tried it, made me ill, like most any pill. I would like to know if the people on this forum, hopefully people who are experienced with the medicinal usage of cannabis, if they believe my usage could be considered legitimately medical.
I am gonna try and give a brief description of a day for me. I often go to sleep between the hours of 10-1, it varies often because I have bad insomnia that keeps me awake and also tends to make me wakeup at odd hours, so my usual wakeup time is 6-8 am, regardless of time going to bed. Upon waking up, the first thing I notice most often is a discomfort in my stomach, I've had stomach problems since birth, been to the ER for dehydration from serious vomiting more times than years I've been alive. So when I wakeup, my stomach is often in knots, either this eventually dissapears later in the day or it stays with me the whole day, and I do not eat. I go to an alternative school and many times during the day I get quite ill and have anxiety attacks. I start to sweat bullets, feel like my temp is over 100, my stomach gets even worse, heart pounding, basically I get bad anxiety attacks supplemented with horrid nausea. Besides this is a long running depression, doesn't help with the fact that my stomach tends to keep me from eating, and being depressed only hurts my stomach. I find that cannabis helps with a lot of this, keeps my appetite up, stomach calm and my anxiety is comfortable. I find pot also makes me help feel more social, which is very helpful, besides general anxiety I have social anxiety and avoidant disorder, so tend to be very isolationist if not anti-social. Any thoughts on this whole thing would be very much appreciated.

  2. To be honest, it looks like you've already answered your own question. If weed is increasing the quality of your life then yes, its legitimate to use it. As long as it doesnt interfere with responsibilities (school, work, etc) then you shouldn't feel guilty about using. I myself have been an everyday smoker for the past 5 years because of similar problems you are experiencing. It has increased the quality of my life ten fold. Hope this has helped you in anyway. Take care.

  3. Unfortunately my mom doesn't approve of me smoking pot to help, and thinks exactly the opposite of it, though she tolerates it, but getting a steady supply sucks as not allowed to grow.

  4. yeah it sucks not being able to grow your own weed.i guess you have to move to were it's legal to really live your life.

  5. On the bright side, after a dryspell a new connection literally just walked in my door, accompanied by two good friends of mine. I think I can have a good supply for awhile now,
