    The history of legalize!

In 1997, the Legalize! Foundation organised a musical demonstration where mainly underground-ravers guided the protests against the world-wide policy on drugs which, in their opinion, should be a very different one.

This street rave was the answer of Legalize! during the EU summit (eurotop) in Amsterdam in 1997. Amsterdam was and still is known as "drugs" capital of Europe. And to continue the pressure on this subject and to keep the policy of tolerated use at least untouched, Legalize had to take action on this occasion.

A mixed group of enthusiastic ravers, political potheads and engaged people made a mad cooperation and realized in fortress Amsterdam a fantastic and loud demonstration for Legalization of Drugs in Europe. The day ended up in a big house party near the Central Station. And so it happened, that a yearly returning tradition was born."

  2. Dont you think if they legalize weed that economy would be alot better

  3. they wont legalize cause they'll want to charge tax. and if they were charging tax, people would just stick to dealers... the governments are too greedy so thats why it wont be legalised...

  4. they wouldnt have to worry about the dealers anymore. because the government would just punish people like that and make it so you would have to be certified or something like that to be able to sell. i think it is worth trying. put it on a 10 year tryout and see how the government goes.

  5. Either that, or the government could sell pot at extremely lower costs, like the price of cigs or such. With that said, people wouldnt pay crazy prices like $50 for an 8th from a dealer.

  6. yup, but i wouldn't go to close as saying like 4 bucks for 20 joints....lol that'd great....:D ...more like 5 or 6 :D (on more of a realistic scale here)
