Legalization of drugs = lower murder rate?

  1. Let's say for instance we legalized all forms of any drug. Any type of drug would be legal to buy out of Gov't owned stores. This would essentially destroy the black market for drugs, further leading to collapse of gang funding. In the black market there is no police, who is going to call the cops to say they got robbed and shot for an oz of coke? basically you have to make a choice, live in a world with gang violence and street crime, or live in a world with ease and accesability to any drug, where awareness and prevention are the new ways to eliminate the drug problem. It's a simple concept but since drugs are viewed and with good cause as deviant i dont think people could understand this concept. Just my thoughts on how legalization in some ways can "Save lives"

  2. Wouldn't work with highly addictive drugs. The stores would be getting robbed constantly for their coke/crack.

  3. well if it became cheaper since it was legal, normal jobs may be able to sustain the habit.
