Could someone please describe the current legal status of medicinal marijuana dispensaries in California, and possibly other states? I would like to know what procedures, or otherwise legalizations/authorizations/perscription, that it would require for someone, potentially not a resident in the in any such state, to purchase products from them. Or have Federal DEA measures largely closed them all? Thank you in advance for any applicable information; website postings would be especially helpful.
You need a doctors approva/prescription by either a note or orally. I don't think you can get a prescription if you don't have a California ID saying you're a resident. The DEA has not closed them all, they haven't closed any. They just took the merchandise. The dispensaries they raided are currently trying to restablish their respective shops.
