Are they on the rise? I've been looking to upgrade my headlights in the car and saw some discussion about LEDs being the future. Them being much brighter and using less power has be excited that anyone and everyone will be able to start a grow with LEDs. You know, not needing an electrician to rewire your closet to get you started. But I feel Uncle Sam is aware of this and will probably impede the advancement of these lights, because they will be unable to use the FLIR and power records to get us. Oh yeah, almost no heat in an LED bulb. All this just sounds too good to be true. Sure they'll be expensive at first but isnt all new technology that way? All Ive seen with LEDs so far is mechanic's shop lights. I had one that was extremely bright and the battery lasted some 20 hours between charges and never lost its brightness or discharge rate over a couple of hundred hours of usage (well, maybe not that long). We've really come a long way since the 70's hippies got their hands on some exciting flourescents.
