Has any one grown with LED's yet? I'd like to know how they work. My current setup is: 1 1000w HPS, 1 1000w MH. 20ftx5ft room for budding. 10x10 room for the mothers n clones. Any info would be nice.. thanks
Damn dude, you could grow a forest with that kind of lighting....I wouldn't even worry about LEDs. To compete with that much power, I dont think any of us could afford that many LEDs.
I have a friend who has ran HPS and led side by side to do some research. (he owns a hydro store) Anywho... it was a 90 watt led and a 400 hps. the 400 hps outdid the led... BUT it was cheaper to run but not enough intensity. I understand that they only emit what the plant needs as far as spectrum. (close enough anyways) they just arent intense enough yet. Basically take the wattage of an led times 3 and thats what the equivalent of an hps will be. (sorry for any misstypes im hammered atm) So a 90 watt led will do what a 270 watt hps will do.... till the prices come down I guess we are stuck with the same ole same ole
