  1. hey so this is my first grow indoors and I've opted out for the bubble system

i currently have them under two fluorescent light's

    in this box

I have recently purchased two banks of 225 red/blue LED growing panels
what I'm really wondering is would it be safe to use this box for them or should i get a type of growing tent

my current light cycle is 20/4

the mother i have is several months old all the plants in there are cloned from it all but the one in the rocks that was from seed(blue cheese) the rest are northern lights or something like that

also will the LED's be better then what i have the under right now ? (or obviously stupid question)

any pointers would be great, i know most 1st time crops don't always come out the best but i would like to try and maximize the potential before it gets to far not to.

    Thanks :)

  2. you need to post up the style of LED lights you got... that would be the only way to compare what you have and what you will be using

I would never suggest using a box for any style of growing, that being said.. i have use one in the past.. and the point of ignition of cardboard is suppose to be high... I have seen people defend their point of view of using cardboard very vigorously so I don't really wish to rehash that....so take that for what you will

good luck, start a journal... unless that first link is a journal

  4. REDFLAG! You need to rethink you're grow setup. Using a clear container is going to cause you problems. Roots DO NOT like light.

I use 4 180w LED lights and almost choked on my coffee with your LED spec.
You should read more before buying anything.

For bucket cover i use the metal duct tape at home depot. overlay 1/2 and 1 coat is perfect.

  6. yeah you need some duct tape or whatever the reflective stuff is (read up on it) to fix that box or you're going to have MAJOR problems with algae as well.
