LOL, yeah jimi page is fucking rediculous. I wish more bands like that still existed. Talk about getting your moneys worth when the guitarist solo's for 20 minutes at a concert....
I love me some led zeppelin, 2nd fav band of all time, or 1st... hard to choose, doors over zep or zep over doors. both were awsome at what they did
Definatley one of my very favorites. Few come even close to reaching the level that Led Zeppelin will forever sit at.
No doubt. Jammin to them now at work. Kashmir (Bonham/Jones/Page/Plant) Oh let the sun beat down upon my face, stars to fill my dream I am a traveler of both time and space, to be where I have been To sit with elders of the gentle race, this world has seldom seen They talk of days for which they sit and wait and all will be revealed Talk and song from tongues of lilting grace, whose sounds caress my ear But not a word I heard could I relate, the story was quite clear Oh, oh. Oh, I been flying... mama, there ain't no denyin' I've been flying, ain't no denyin', no denyin' All I see turns to brown, as the sun burns the ground And my eyes fill with sand, as I scan this wasted land Trying to find, trying to find where I've been. Oh, pilot of the storm who leaves no trace, like thoughts inside a dream Heed the path that led me to that place, yellow desert stream My Shangri-La beneath the summer moon, I will return again Sure as the dust that floats high in June, when movin' through Kashmir. Oh, father of the four winds, fill my sails, across the sea of years With no provision but an open face, along the straits of fear Ohh. When I'm on, when I'm on my way, yeah When I see, when I see the way, you stay-yeah Ooh, yeah-yeah, ooh, yeah-yeah, when I'm down... Ooh, yeah-yeah, ooh, yeah-yeah, well I'm down, so down Ooh, my baby, oooh, my baby, let me take you there Let me take you there. Let me take you there <HR>Just decided to change the title of the thread
No Quarter Close the doors, put out the light You know they won't be home tonight The snow falls hard and don't you know The winds of Thor are blowing cold They're wearing steel that's bright and true They carry news that must get through They choose the path where no-one goes They hold no quarter, They hold no quarter. Oh... Walking side by side with death The devil mocks their every step The snow drives back the foot that's slow The dogs of doom are howling low They carry news that must get through To build a dream for me and you They choose the path that no one goes They hold no quarter, They ask no quarter, They hold no quarter, They ask no quarter...they think about no quater...With no quarter quarter. Oh No...
Hell fuckin yea!! Zeppelin is the greatest and Rasta, No quarter kicks ass, one of my favorite tracks easily
Word. Jimmy Page is the hammer of the gods, he's the reason I wanted to play guitar, and my guitar is named after one of his riffs. "As I walk, down the highway, all I do is sing this song." ^^Rob knew he was the shit . They all did.
Lets all just ignore the guy above me, A while ago in the Question Game Thread my question was Led Zeppelin or The Doors? It's still a hard one but one things for sure, noone can come close to how many fucking hits Led had, not even close. My personal favorites are Dazed and Confused, I Cant Quit You Baby, and Kashmir.... OoOOhhhh I cant quit you babe....(jimmy steps in...rocks your world with his first note) gotta put you down for a while....
Zep kicks the Doors' asses. So many unbelievable songs were produced in their prime, not to mention how incredible each member of the band was at his instrument. the first/one of the best heavy metal/rock bands in history.
Led Zeppelin is not heavy metal damn it!!! Jimmy Page has even said he wants nothing to do with the title "heavy metal" he will tell that sabbath is the first metal band. He puts Led Zeppelin in a hard rocking blues band that dabbled with experimental sounds. Now that were clear on that lets just say Zeppelin is the greatest band of all time listen to The Crunge.
well, its debateable i guess. many sources consider them the first metal band, with pages scorching riffs to back it up.
Yeah and I can see why, plants high pitch little screams and what not didn't sound like anything around, and songs like no quarter were its not exactly heavy metal guitar plants lyrics are chilling makes the hair on neck just oh man i need to get the led out!
