JPJ is the greatest musician who ever lived....

I need to get more into yes... I feel bad saying roundabout and owner of a lonely heart are the only songs I really know by them

  8. Owner of a lonely heart is a really gay song.

Yes is kinda jazzy, but they are still great.

They were the best from 69-73. Then they got a little weird.

If you ever get a chance, go on youtube and find this video of JPJ playing (not plugged in) and he plays Whole Lotta Love. It's amazing. He plays in octaves like a 12 string guitar. I thing the video is by daddariostrings or something. There's two parts, and it's pretty bad quality, but it's interesting.

  14. One of the greatest bands ever. EVER!

The Song Remains the Same was a bit self indulgent with all the drawn out fantasy bits and what not. But moments like this make it worth it:

They all kick ass, but Jimmy Page rules.

  16. Rocking out to some Zeppelin right now.

    Its been a long time
    Been a long time
Been a long lonely lonely loney time

  17. I can't respect 'em, considering they stole every blue song they came across.

  18. That's what the blues is...

    You steal songs from people...

You think Jimi Hendrix wrote Killing Floor? Hey Joe?

It's the fact that they took a song from the 30's and transformed it into something new. Not every person can do what Led Zeppelin did.

They didn't put songs out to say "Look at these lyrics I wrote". They put them out to say "Look at this ordinary blues song, now look at what our band can do with it."

  19. Why is that when Coldplay steals a melody from Joe Satriani, the whole world shits itself, but when Led Zep steal other peoples songs without crediting them, no one cares? It isn't a matter of re-interpreting a public domain song, they're using these songs without crediting the artists who, you know, wrote them.
