Are these led strips good for growing?? Their 50/50 3w each led 15 leds on a strip 6 strips in the pic= 270 watts in leds..?? Correct Or am i calculating it wrong?? Are these led strip able to grow a plant period or does it have to be special leds.. I plan on making a board of mixed colors.. Purple Blue Red White Yellow - not amber i read amber is useless for plants.. I ask because i use em’ all the time & i know they pretty bright i actually have a bunch of white laying around the house cause i use em’ so often..! If i calculated the wattage correctly i pay only $6 for 270watts.. to me that is not a waste of bread I use a 12v power supply to power em’ up i do quick test on my 18v drill just to see if a suspect strip will come on or not.. after a time the heat is too much at 10v but @ 12v its perfect.. The question was can these 50/50 leds grow a plant?? And @ 3w each led 15 leds on a strip = 270w in led?? Is that how the wattage on these led boards are calculated?? How many watts??.. its not just being cheaper cause my light setup will cost me under $20 for a 1350w led setup.. but its also the project.. i havent had fun in a while since my diagnoses & i just wanna play wit wires & electricity shit again Create something look at it & be like.. “yea, i did that”.! You are totally correct of what will be powering them.. but.. i can turn on every strip & have them running at max brightness for a very long time @ the sametime.. cmon ur starting to discourage me from even messin wit it idk if i wanna do this anymore! Smoke-A-Lot

Its a 12v converter from 110v ill calculate amps being used which isnt much cause its leds.. and getting a proper power supply is a breeze. If i even really need it.. i think thats more used cause if the built in fans but not for powering the leds.. If it were only leds and no fans the power supply wouldnt have to be so much. Smoke-A-Lot
