LED strip spacing for seedlings

  1. Hello all

I recently purchased 2 LED strips with an amazing spectrum for seedling and vegging

My question is, what would be the ideal distant the mount the LED’s on the Heatsink apart from one another. I only plan on using this to start 2-3 seedlings and they will be hooked to a dimmable driver to control intensity.

I’ll link some pics to show you my two set ups and your opinions on both. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks a lot

  2. strips are 48v each. Going to be driven off a 1.3mh dimmable driver in parallel so each strip will see .65mh of current giving about 31 watts per strip

That’s the spectrum of the strips I’m referring to. If all goes well I’ll be designing an entire light with these strips strictly for vegging
