  2. Dude did u take out your hps? Those led strips will catch fire in that heat. My opinion hell yes take em back . They arent putting out enough power for a spot that big anyway.

  5. I mean don't get me wrong... the lights were good. And bright! Just the heat sinks and drivers without fans are too much. Plus it's hot and humid even in maine!

  6. Whats the temp in room when they are off? Try checking temp as far away as u can from lights. Try to determine temps without lights

  7. Temp in the room was 85
Felt way hotter then my hps in the tent.
The seller is graciously taking them back.

  8. Only an 8 degree jump in temp. That's pretty good. Your room was 85. Had very little to do with the lights. Were your drivers mounted in the tent? If so, that's where several degrees of heat were coming from.

  9. That was after being on only 15 minutes!
I shut them down at 95 in the tent and switched back to the hps....temp went down to 88. I fear what it would get to if left on a full cycle.

Yes the drivers were mounted on top of the heat sinks.... bought them all set up like this.
I was under the impression LED would run cool but guessing not these strip lights! ?

  10. Ok well my room is 85 and it is 82 on other side of room. Yah thats crazy heat. I have 2 315 cmh going and fans. So 3 deg with a bulb is incredible [IMG]
