Led lights

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by Greenslayer, Jun 30, 2018.

  1. Ive been growing awile but it seems every since i switched to using led lights and ro water i keep having the same problems plants in flower start to look bad with purple stemes and dying leaves i use calmag plus epsom water is cool roots look great but i still get tip burn using only half strength has any one eles had problems when switch ing to led. I use solar storm 440 and 550

  2. There are a number of things that could be the problem. Pictures of the plants and a very detailed narrative of howbyou care for your plants is needed to give you any advice. I can say with 100% certainty is that your lights are NOT your problem. Those lights are tried and true performers.

  3. ha,ha Try using full strength. Your plants are growing better than they were, they need more. You can't give them better light and expect therm to survive on the old level you were giving. That's why I like growing in perlite. If tips get brown you can give them twice as much feed and see if that helps. If it doesn't, well, then it's something else. I mistakenly thought when I switched to led (and I was using solar 220's) that my plants were feeding more efficiently and needed less. Boy was I wrong. They need pretty much whatever the nute company you are using says they need.

  4. Mayb something to that. Because i was under that same impression and keep having problems

  5. Solar storm 440 in veg flora series half strength cal mag 5ml per gal. Hydroguard 2 ml per gal ro water chilled 65 degrees. 1ml per gal rapid start

  6. Try adding demeters destiny liquid calcium to your routine. LED's are known to increase a plant's need for cal/mag but also cause problems with absorption. Having a more plant available source helps. Do some searching and you'll find hundreds of posts about cal/mag issues with led growing.

  7. purple stems. hmmmm we all know its stress or ph problems.

  8. Great stress from what cuz ph is not an issue
