LED Lights and Reflector Clamps

    Hello Everyone,

    With LED lights, do you think it would it be better to use, or not to use, reflector clamps? I've read that the reflectors are good for CFL lights, but I haven't seen anything for LEDs. Thank you so much.

    From a design stand point they shouldn't be necessary. Are you trying to cover more space than designed for? That's why leds are set up in large banks.

    Unless your using one of those shitty 7w LED replacement bulbs the diodes should already be pointing down.

    I may be looking at the wrong design. Can regular LED lights that screw into a light socket be used?

    Ahh. Now I see. I honestly can't tell you for sure. Better let an LED expert answer..

    Thanks so much. I am using CFLs with reflector clamps and was considering switching them for LEDs.

    Does this mean that any LED that screws into a normal light socket is insufficient?

    Yes.
