hey everyone ive started some seeds almost 2 weeks ago with an LED setup. Im growing them hydroponically. The seeds are from flying dutchman called Aurora B. I will post some pics later. I also just got some mylar in so my grow should be getting better.
Sorry it took me this long to post pictures....but here they are: ill start by showing pictures of how i first started and then ill get to where im at now. I just checked my ph today and it is 5.6 should i make it higher? also if you can see on one of the plants that i took a picture of the ends of the leaves are curling up is that good or bad? also if anyone has any advice to give me id love to hear what everyone thinks. also i ran into some trouble a few days ago with nute burning. so i had to cut a few leaves off. i flushed the water and added new water and new nutes. the end of this week i will be getting a 4" carbon filter and blower to install because its already starting to give off a smell.
you can see the curling of the leaves in the last picture i posted...let me know what you all think about that
im not sure exactly..but the leds give off almost no heat at all i would have to say 3 degrees warmer in the closet compared to the room that its in...and its about 76
not sure lol the only thing i have is a digital ph tester.....my guess is its not that humid...feels the same as the rest of the room
i have a fan in there right now for circulation but its too powerfull so its facing the wall.. when the carbon filter comes in ill be able to have a constant circulation of fresh air...so im hoping that will help
again this is my first grow...if it sounds like im talking out of my ass let me know lol im just going by what ive read and some common sense but if im wrong let me know
http://www.ledgrowlights.com/ this is where i got them...it can probably explain a little better then i can
keep an update id like to see how the plants react to the LED lights it would have been cool to test it side by side with MH or cfls ya know.
The leaves got a little dry and brown and the tips of some of the leaves turned white Here are some pics: I was given some suggestions and decided to lower the lights, took 3 cups of water out and added more distilled to dilute the nutrients (possible nute burn?) added a bowl of water underneath the fan to provide more humidity, and lowered the ph from 5.9 to 5.5. Let me know if you have any other suggestions to fix these problems.
-Day 20 - The smell is getting stronger but i have a filter coming in hopefully Monday. If you notice anything going wrong such as the spots on leaves or anything else please let me know what i should do. Some of the leaves are getting big and are casting a shadow on smaller, lower leaves. Should I get a cfl or two or are the LEDs enough? Are water spots a big deal? (too much humidity?) Any other suggestions? -Pics:
i just got a can filter and i was told to go buy activated carbon at the pet store which i did and i put it in the center of the carbon filter and its making my room smell wierd...i thought it was supposed to be odorless....is there something i did wrong? maybe no activated carbon?
you want activated carbon, but i think theres a difference in the carbon for water and for air filtering, also, some people wash the carbon to get rid of all of the black dust that comes out at first.
yeah thats a good point i never thought about that....ill try and wash it all and see if that helps....thanks
hey everyone sorry i havent posted lately. ive been trying to deal with some nitrogen toxicity and it isnt going to well. hopefully they will be ok. i started 12/12 last night and i have some pictures after their first 12 hours of darkness. they were in veg for 27 days. im trying to tell the sex of the plants but i still think its too early...let me know what you all think.
