LED full spectrum lights

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by CapeTownKlutcH, Mar 13, 2019.

  1. That philzon isnt a true 2000w fyi. Im not sure what it is but its much much much lower. As for yield, we cant know this because there are far more variables to consider than lighting when it comes to that.

  3. Also alot arnt really full spec ..always get from a reputable seller. U get what u pay for. But u wont be sorry . PLATINUM led. Timber LED grow lights, cree cobs . All good brands .Most of the amazon cheap "full spec " leds are garbage. Id be suprised if that 2000w one ur lookin at even pulls 300w of actual power

  4. What size area do you want to cover for bloom and for veg? Same space? Budget or best you can buy right now? I'll link you a setup.

  5. I have their old 1000w light From amazon and real wattage was advertised at roughly 270w. Kilowatt said 120 watts. Do not trust it. I see this one says wattage at 308w. Still can get a much better spectrum for not a tad bit more

  7. 200 bucks for alleged 300 watts not bad
I like dimmable pots for each spectrum like viparspectra par series. But they're pricy
And f series samsungs are good too

  8. Buy two 4 packs of these boards for 8 total in 3500k.
    QB132 V1 Quantum Boards

That's about $220. They don't need heatsinks. About 600 watts full potential with 8 boards.

Buy two of these drivers. https://www.onlinecomponents.com/me...04&gclid=CNePwJjJhOECFQlagQodKl4K4A&gclsrc=ds

You'll have to run them dimmed. The drivers have built in dimmers. Maxed those drivers will put out about 700 watts so they're slightly oversized. It's the only way to get max current rating. If you went to a smaller driver size you would only be able to hit maybe 1750mA.

They will wire 4 boards in series to each driver. The fixture will almost be the same size as the tent.

This is a picture of a setup like that I helped another user put together. It's 8 qb132's.

  11. Not a fan of the weird mix of colors. I want a good representation of full spectrum sunlight and supplement from there with more exotic strips. 4k is a great spectrum for a base with samsung powered board led lighting if you add a far red to that for flower and some more reds later on. It sort of replicates the qb96 elite spectrum.

  12. It’s insane reading these posts now knowing the technology we have With Light Emitting Diodes

  13. I definitely agree, The only thing I like about my two different lights is one is more of the 6000k Almost like the purpleish headlights that you see on new cars. Kind of reminds me of that type of spectrum but then I have the high on flux that is like all 3500 n 4000k diodes mixed w 660nm red. I think you can see what I mean here IMG_1332.jpeg

  14. Your light puts out 200w of power. Good for up to 3 plants.

To properly light your tent or grow space you want to take the square footage of it and multiply it by 30w. This will give you the proper power and coverage for your size space.

    For example, a 3 x 3 tent has 9 sq/ft. 9 x 30w =270w. This is the max power you want in a 3 x 3.

If you'll be using ScrOG as your method then you probably want to look at bar style lights for more even coverage. The light you posted tend to have hot spots..

A better light that is comparable to the one you posted is the ViparSpectra XS1500 Pro. It's 150w and has excellent coverage from edge to edge. It's $109 on Amazon.
