I just bought a 16 Led its very bright(almost blinding) and i already had 3 7watt Leds also im thinking about using one 60watt cfl to give different light spectrums. Thoughts?????
You are probably better off just getting a bunch of cheap 20w CFLs. Those LEDs aren't going to have the intensity needed for anything really. What size is your grow area?
How big is the area though? You want at the very least 50 watts per square foot of area just to keep the plant from getting sick. About 100 watts per square foot is a good figure to aim for though
When you say one 60w cfl, are you referring to the actual wattage or the 'same as' wattage that compares it to an incandescent bulb? You have to go by the actual wattage, not the 'same as' numbers they put on the box. GG is correct on the wattage per square ft numbers IMO (going by actual wattage).
