Nothing really. If it's still cold, you will be able to knock more trichomes off the buds if you handle them, but I am sure that is just a negligible amount.

I lived up in Erie my whole life til moving just a bit ago to NC and always had my green in my car. It's below freezing at night up there around 5 months of the year and I never had a problem with it. Just make sure that you aren't storing it by a window, door, or near water/liquid that can freeze. keep it in a jar or tupperware that is inside a bag as well and you won't have any problems.

 

if you knock the bud around while its cold some trichomes may fall off but if you have a grinder it will just accumulate more kief, in short, nothing bro.

 

You should atleast tuck them in and give them a blanket.

 

Pretty pointless if you ask me, as long as you're bud doesn't get moisture or ice crystals forming why would you need to heat it up? That would degrade the THC and possibly leave you with less potent buds.

i used to keep my stash outdoors in a bush haha. in alberta winters, buds were fine. i just had them in a bag, in a jar, with a touque around the jar worked fine enough
