I took clones from my plant pretty late into flowering, like 30 days or so. I used a rooting powder and put them into styrofoam cups with 50/50 perlite/vermiculite mix. I then put a plastic baggie over the cups and poked a few holes in it to use as a humidity dome. They are only about 3 days old, and the leaves are turning white! What does this mean? what am I doing wrong? I've never seen leaves go white in all my time of browsing these forums! I noticed that the medium felt quite warm so I moved the light a little further away. Could this be heat damage?
How much light are they getting? It looks like a high amount by the yellowing/whiting. I normally place an 11 watt CFL about 1 foot above the clones. Too much light will kill the clones, or nearly kill them. My 2nd suspicion would be too much perlite, I'd think you're almost better off using 90% vermiculite, but I've never used it for cloning so can't say for sure. I've been using 100% coco coir with no dome and it works like a champ, all my cloning machines are obsolete now LOL
Yeah I've been misting them a few times a day I actually just set it on top of my aerogarden. After noticing the leaves turning white I moved the light up another notch
