Hey guys, problem of rolling under leaves starting again. Before some said it was over watering, but ive gone really light on the water and they are starting again. ???? So i just gave them a big drink! What else could it be? I have about 175w of HPS, had the plants about 8" from the light....didn't feel hot on my hand at all. Ive since moved them 12"+ from the light and gave them water. Any ideas what causes this?
Here is another picture. Just frustrates me, they were looking so so so healthy, now they "look" dry to me....but i have no clue. Should I mist them in the dark time?
they don't look too bad, to be honest, i'd wait and see if there's a problem, before giving it a remedy, the second pic looks slightly overwatered, how much and how often do you water them, how are you gauging when they need it?.......probe?......finger?........Peace out.........Sid
Well the plants are growing in 3 gallon buckets. Usually i poke a finger in the soil. When its dry down as deep as my finger will go I water. Generally.......maybe 12-16 ounces of water every 7-10 days. By the the soil is bone dry as far down as my finger will go. After I water I can hear the water absorbing down into the really dry soil..sorty of trickling down in. Ive been told they roll up like that for support because they are over watered....but man the pots are darn near dry. My thinking is, though the lights may not be burning the plants......they are drying the leaves? Well I just watered the piss out of them. If they croak ....... i know it was over water. Just piss's me off they were doing great, and I changed nothing....only the plants got taller.
i'd say underwatering, water approx every 3-4 days........put your finger in approx 1"-2" and if it's dry then add some water........i use approx 400-500ml of water for a vegging plant at approx 12" high.........every 3-4 days...........Peace out.........Sid
