My Autoflower that is or was doing really Good. But when I checked it today I seen what looks to be burnt leaves, or possibly something else???? Ty. Ty Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum mobile app
It looks to me like they're a little welty. My mom taught me to hold my hands under the light for a little bit, and if the heat feels too hot, move up the light a half inch to an inch. I try keep mine about 4-5 inches from the top of the plant and haven't had an issue with burning.
Ty og420, I have 2 26 watt CFL's and 1 23 watt CFL, so three lights total. For 1 plant. I have the lights about an 1" to 1 1/2 inches away from my plants. It was always thriving doing really good. And I check on him every day and this morning is when I seen it and I was surprised because it looks like they're going to fall off??? Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum mobile app
I just raised the light, so now it's about 2 1/2 inches from top of plant. It's been gaining growth! Hopefully She takes care of it on her own! Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum mobile app
I just checked in my handbook that if the younger leaf tips burn, it's most likely a boron deficiency. If they're wilting and squishy instead of crunchy, it's a copper deficiency. Edit: Here. Decide for yourself.
Ok Thanks Everyone!I use a 12 once spray bottle to water my plants, which I have been hitting the leaves every once in a while. I know now not to spray the leaves the rotted part of the leave I cut off, it was 2 leaves I didn't cut the leaves off just the rotted part. It wasn't crunchy it was soft but not squishy? It happened over night somehow, cause when I woke up Friday morning that's when I seen the rot.when I water since my Pots are pretty big I always start on the the edges and work my way to the center. I'm only using about 8 ounces of water per plant? Is that sufficient? or should I water them every 3 days instead of every 2 days. But when I water every 3 days Should I water it until it runs out the bottom? Tyï¸ Thanks Grasscity!!! Sent from my iPad using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Spraying isn't the way to go. Just pour in the water in. Water enough so you have some coming out the bottom and you're sure that all of the soil has soaked up some water. You don't want any dry patches in there. Then after that make sure you give it enough time for the soil to fully dry out. Not just the top layer. The roots need a lot of air and this wet/dry cycle causes fresh air to be drawn in to the soil and spent air to be expelled. Even if the soil takes over a week to dry, so be it
Ok GG Ty! I do wait 2-3 days between watering. I put my finger an inch down, if it's moist I'll wait at least a day in a half before watering again? But when watering I never just poured it in, so I'll dump the spray bottle cause I'll be there forever to see run off lol. But I do take your Advice GG! I'm gonna start taking them outta the grow box to water for now on! So I can see the run off. And I'll wait 4 days till next watering if needed! I'm using spring water for now which is 7.0Ph Thanks GG Sent from my iPad using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Btw: them rotted pieces of leaves is most likely by spraying the leaves or having a hot spot? Sent from my iPad using Grasscity Forum mobile app
You may need to wait longer than 4 days once you have fully saturated the soil. Try and get used to the weight of the pot, when it's dry enough to need watering it will feel noticeably light. The weight is a good indicator
