pH around 6 and I didn't previously feed to substantial run off but now I am. No perlite. Sent from my EML-L09 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Is that the pH coming out as well? You should always feed (never plain water) coco to 20% run off. How old are your plants? I feed twice a day to run off when my plants are in flower - some growers feed multiple times a day.
not as simple as it seems. Calcium and Magnesium compete, so need to be kept in proper ratio. Also, ph can give an edge to one or the other. Mg is flushed easier. Some nute already have one or both. Treating magnesium deficiency by adding more is a sure way to the growers insane assylum. Othwerwise known as google cannabis. I was not aware that different calmag treatments can make a difference. When I started treating with NPK Raw Calmag, I noticed quite an improvement over Magical. NPK Raw is just calcium nitrate and epsom salt already premixed in proper ratio. I also add their amino acid with it at 1/2 teaspoon calmag and 1/4 teaspoon per gallon and use it as a flush all by itself unmixed with any other thing. Then my base form also has the proper Cal/mag ratio. Because I knew with all the crap I dump on my plants it couldn't be "not enough" of anything. So it had to be something else.
