Late flowering plants issue

Discussion in 'Greenhouses' started by dave_jam, Oct 15, 2017.

  1. Earlier in the season I had my plants in pots, inside a hole in the ground in my veg garden. Come to find out, the street light nearby delayed the flowering process quite a bit. I'd say atleast 3 weeks. Now the first frost is expected next week here in southern Ohio and I'm torn.

I have two photoperiod and one autoflower. The auto is like a month late flowering as well, but that's a whole other can of worms.

As far as I can tell, I have three options.

Move the plants indoors. Problem is, I only have CFLs and small LEDs so Idk if that would work.

Build a (heated?) greenhouse? I have a couple rolls of clear plastic and some heaters with thermostats. Maybe build out of bamboo idk?

Third option is to do nothing but I don't think the plants are gonna last.

  2. late:

move plants indoors it keeps them warm too

or better place a light proof tent over them at night

    if possible

    good luck
