Late bud growth question

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by skylaedith, Jul 17, 2010.

  1. I have two plants that were a week away from harvest and they started growing new buds. This has never happened before, they are now a week past their "due date" and there are new flowers growing all over the plant. Has anyone experienced this before? How long can a plant go beyond its "due date" without being harmed. Thanks for any help.

  2. Depends on the color of hairs and the trics as to being ripe. If some(tops) are ripe you could harvest that and let the newer buds develop more and do a second harvest when they are ripe. If it's a sativa may sometimes take longer to ripen. Indicas, Indicas/Sativa crosses usually take 8-10 weeks from first sign of flowers to harvest.
