Last nights bust

    this is my story and i'd like to know what some of you guys think will happen. I live in SoFla BTW.

    My friend was parked next to my house on the side and we were blazing a few bowls, we had around 2grams, 3 pipes, 1 grinder, like 3 lighters. Someone appearantly called the cops about a suspicious car (driving) which was bullshit, we were only parked. They came around turned on their bright light, came up to the window and once we opened them there was mad smoke. Cop asked us where the shit was and we gave all of it to them. We got taken into the station and waited for our parents to bail us. My bond was 1g and my friends was 2g since he was the driver i guess.

    We were released thankfully! but now im afraid of whats going to happen next since its my first time ever getting taken in. It was just charged as a misdemeanor(sp?). We have to pick up our stuff from the station and wait for a court date by mail. What should I expect from the court and the judge?its the first time this happens to me and im pretty scared of the consequences & this is the first thing on both our records.

    Uh, this sounds like bullshit. In Florida, anything under 20 grams is a misdemeanor. Usually that just results in a ticket and a notice to appear in court. Maybe you are underaged in which they would bring you down to the station.

    go here http://www.norml.org/ and select your state to find out what the laws are. i wasn't in a car but i got busted on about the same thing and i had to pay shitloads of money and go pee and check in alot and go to "drug" classes. If it's your first you'll prolly get about the same. Going to be expensive and a hassle but it shouldn't be life ending

    Hey man....I'm in South FL myself and I got pulled over with an Ounce and all they did was give me a ticket and I had to appear in court and I was in some little program thing for 6 months where they random drug tested me 2 times. I even failed one of those times too. I'm thinking your under 18 and that's why they held you ( not busting on you just my curiosity ) Good luck with things...BSO ( Broward sheriffs office ) cops are the worst....they have nothing better to do then bust people for suspicion of mischief and for drug charges haha.     Nah, both my friend and I are 18 years old. So thats not the case :p.

    The most shit i got was from my parents and family

    prolly get a fine, unsupervised probation, and maybe some community service.

    right now im just waiting for my court paper to arrive by mail :\.

    I wish this stuff was Legal in Fl. I wouldnt have to deal with this bullshit for something I really enjoyed doing.

    You shouldnt smoke in a place like that, im usually pretty safe when in do it, in my room or somethin, just as good. :smoking:

    well, it was my property and my neighborhood. I couldnt smoke indoors because my friend was with me and my parents didnt know a thing until the day I got caught thats also the reason why I couldnt do it in my backyard, my parents were sleeping. lolz

    if it was on ur property, then the cop was trespassing and u might beable to get the charges dropped.

    your gonna get pre trial diversion. 6 months, 40 comm serv hours, $300 supervision cost, and have to go report 1 time a month and get piss tested (not everytime)

    all charges are dropped after you complete the program, colleges and shit like that will never now or be able to find out, even more so if you are under 18

    well guys im 18 years old and my court date is on thursday. i also spoke to my friend that was in the car with me(hes the owner of the car) and he told me that hes getting a lawyer.

    now im worried about whats going to happen in court since ive never been there, im kinda scared :(. I told my dad about the lawyer thing and now im going to call one tomorrow and schedule an appointment.

    im scared that they give me more than just a fine and probation :( i dont want to end up in jail

    You *probably* will get a first-offender (pre-trial diversion) like the person above mentioned... not sure you even need a lawyer.

    Well my dad called our bail bonds man and he suggested a lawyer to my dad and told him it might cost us around $1,000 for the lawyer fees. I hope that with a lawyer things go smoother and easier on me and my "charges". I feel a little safe since a lot of people are just saying that i'd get a probation or just a small fee. I mean really...are they going to fill up the jail cells with a peaceful smoker? I doubt it but oh well im still worried :confused_2:

    Nah dude, you're straight. I got busted with about the same shit and they gave me intent to distribute too because I had a scale and a box with weed flakes in it that they awesomed I was transporting my weight around in (not the case)

    6 months suspended license with an oppurtunity at 3 months to apply for a restricted one.

    25 dollar fine

    25 hours community service

    160 in court fees

    1 year unsupervised probation.

    this is the latest from my story guys, since i was only charged with paraphenelia my lawyer is deciding to fight the case and im assuming hes going to claim it was only tobacco :p

    at least im off the hook :)

    So i guess its a happy ending the bad thing is that he asked me not to smoke for 30 days i think hes going to make me piss test for the judge to prove that im no stoner but oh well

    no 4/20 celebration for me. im just going to be taking a nice long break and realize the good shit out there but ohh, the maryjane is gonna be waiting. she never leaves :smoke:
