so i recently built an aerocloner based on Rumpleforeskin's 5 gallon bucket cloner. i have been very happy with it and would like to build a similar bucket but for a rather larger plant. I would like to first, use a 7 gallon bucket instead of 5, and instead of the 7 plants have one in a 6 inch net pot. i have also seen Rumpleforeskin's bubble buckets in which he has maybe the giantest (only a slight exaggeration) root ball i have ever seen, so large it had, in fact, eaten his bubble set up. would it be possible to build the bucket as an aero bucket and get a similar root ball or would the roots clog the sprayers? i also have thought about including a small bubbler in the bottom of the bucket that could be used instead of the sprayers if they were overtaken later in flowering or whatever. do any of these ideas seem feasible and has anyone seen a grow with large plant aeroponics?
I've done aero on all my indoor work you can see the system set up in this journal. remember to use a air intake line to get better action from your misters. http://forum.grasscity.com/outdoor-grow-journals/543932-g45-seed-grow-2010-a.html
I'd just stick with a bubble bucket. Because making one of those "aero" systems with the microsprayers won't be any different than a bubble bucket. There is a link to a post i made about aeroponics in my signature, but very basically.... to get the bennefits of aero vs. hydro... you need to have a true aero system. it is impossible to get the extra bennefits of aero when using one of these so called "aero" systems with the microsprayers. but anyways...good luck on your grow
about 1 1/2 inches above your pump on the pvc you can drill a hole and stick a airline into it. the air line is run outside the box and when the pump runs it draws air in (vucume effect) this increases the water flow and make the misters work better so they mist instead of squirt the water. you'll hear the air comming into the line and if you dont like the sound you can put a stone on it.
cool, I love a new project. I cant get into my res anymore due to plant size and lsting but I am going to redo it all before the next batch anyway, Thanks!
the system setup I built gets cleaned every 2 weeks while in use and isnt much of problem at all, if ya need any help PM me I'm just finishing 2 plants now in mine.
