????LARGE leaves covering buds?????

  1. This may seem like a pretty stupid question, but we are in the 6th week of flowering and all of the big leaves seem to be blocking light from getting to the buds. So, the question is, should we remove the leaves or try tuckin them aside as best we can??? Is removing a bunch of leaves gonna damage the plant, or premote bud growth??

  2. i'd say try and tuck them or even tie them down abit, i'f you cut them it could shock the plant and demote bud growth...

but im no expert so thats my opinion...

    good luck

  3. I just asked that very same question about 2 weeks ago. I am growing an idica strain, and am having the same thing.

It was suggested to me to either tuck the leaves in as much as you can, or LST. Because I was so far into my grow I decided to tuck them in. They said that LSTing at that stage would have been o.k. and I wouldn't fuck anything up. I still didn't want to take the chance though.

So I'll pass the same on I guess..... Tuck or LST.

  4. Thanx a lot guys. Here are a couple pics 4 example.

  5. ooops.... sorry man

I didn't read your thread close enough. Since your already into flowering, I don't think LSTing is an option. Just tuck back the leaves.

Note to self... open eyes when reading, and exhale first.

  6. if you can't tuck em, pluck em! if they're blocking your buds get rid of them. just don't cut too many at the same time. looking good.

  7. try cutting off just half the leaf bro

  8. tucking should work, even if u have to tie the leaves down to the main stem... try not to cut them, why remove leaves that u can simply tuck or tie down? i dont know about u but i wouldnt personally want to cut healthy leaves and possible slow bud growth in the main stage of growth (last 2 weeks they fatten the most)

  9. No, Lst, tuck or my favorite manipulate. Pull the branches out away from the main stalk, manipulate be inventive find ways to get the light to them without chopping cuase light may ripen but leaves feed the buds and make them grow.

  10. i recommend all of those first but if you were going to cut that's the advice i've read in a couple books

  11. Tuck or tie back. You can easily pull aside the big fan leaves at the stem with a string or pipe cleaner. Don't cut if you don't have to -- those leaves are the solar panels powering your plant's growth. If you must cut try cutting only the one leaf on a fan that is directly blocking the light rather than cutting the whole fan.

  12. you can cut %50 of the fan leaves that are in the way, it'll be fine.
