Laptop or Desktop?

  1. Which one do you guys use?

I just bought my first laptop:

    HP G62 4GB RAM, 320 GB, Windows 7

Love this machine, lightning fast and goes everywhere.

  2. Home built desktop.

Ive only owned a mac laptop

  3. I work at a store that sells computers. Lots of people are well satisfied with that one. I have a G60 that I am pretty rough on, and I let a one year old play with sometimes that I am pretty satisfied with. I am a big HP fan. Asus as well, but HP is more affordable.

I'm a laptop user, but I really want to build (NOT BUY!) a desktop... just because I can....

  4. Yeah I say desktops are pretty legit, but laptops are more convenient and portable when you have to go places :D

  5. ive personally owned 2 laptops.

last 1 fell of a couple feet and broke the screen (4 the lolz)

when im chilling in my room i hook up the hdmi port from my tv to my laptop.

watch some computer on a 50 inch plasma . YEEE BOM BOM

ya so desktops suck for the SOLE reason of not being able to shit and do your work.

laptop is in the washroom with me most days of the week AHAHA.

online poker and taking a shit yaaa the good life dawg

if you dont have a laptop step up your game (4 thelolz)

  6. Desktop, built it myself. When I had a laptop I never really took it anywhere, though I may get a netbook at some point.

  7. Don't expect way too much out of that netbook. They are good for internet, and MS Word... not a whole lot else...

  8. I have a laptop right now (just got the screened fixed for ....a lot of money), but i use this while at college, then we have a desktop at my house house.. Both are good, don't really prefer one to the other.

  9. I use both. I have a lot of desktops around the house, 5 to be exact, but I would say I use my Macbook Pro more than anything. But it really depends on what I'm doing.

  10. Using the same laptop I got as a graduation present from my mom years ago. Not nearly as beastly by comparison as it used to be, but I don't predict I will replace it anytime soon. I do look forward to building a shitwrecking desktop when I have the resources to do so, however. It's been such a long time since I've had a powerhouse PC. There are plenty of games I would like to revisit with maxed out graphics for once in my life.

  11. I have a desktop that i built the bottom up, andi love it. Faster than any Laptop ive ever used.

i owned a Compaq and i did use it alot when i was feeling lazy and just wanted to lay in bed, but something went wrong and it bit the dust.

  12. That would be a situational question.
Some folks have absolutely no need, want, nor desire for a laptop. Others could not exist without one.
Then add to it those with near laptop capabilities on thier phones and it shifts again.
Personally, even though I work IT, don't need or desire one. However, should I need one, there are about a hundred available. :):smoke:

  13. That's really the only reason for me to have the mobility. With an ION chipset (or Broadcom HD) I can play video whenever the mood strikes me. The desktop can do everything else.

  14. Im in college so that plays a huge factor in why I like laptops. When I get a house and all that shit I'll probably get a desktop though.

  15. I usually use my desktop and my mom has a laptop. But I woke up like 45 minutes away from home and I'm using a laptop. Wait... how did I get here?

  16. BOTH!

    Mac Mini 2gb RAM desktop
    Macbook 1/2 gb Ram laptop

  17. iMac and Macbook Pro :hello:

I would prefer the iMac though, always. The mobility isn't necessarily as important to me, but it's definitely amazing too

  18. Asus G71. Superfast gaming laptop. Heavy as hell, but it moves faster than a boy scout at the neverland ranch.

  19. MacBook Pro - OSX
    500 GB Memory
2.53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
    4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3

  20. Build my own desktops - always have. That way I get exactly what I want.

Dollar for dollar, desktops are a much better value IF you are talking CPU power.

I own a laptop, which I use when sitting in front of the boob-tube, but only to surf the weeb.

    Cheers.
