Can some one still find real landraces these days ??? Are there any advantage using landrace seeds ??? Is landrace the ultimate wild strains ???
a strain made and produced and tested thoroughly,worked and had tester show stability is a landrace. think about were they come from,there are many thoughts as to a landrace being a strain from many many moons past as in 20 or 30 years,there are ,but you arent likely to find them unless you go were the strain you are wanting was originated from ,say columbine. but if you breed and work the line and name your gear that can be a landrace ,documentation is a major factor in proof of your work also
Yes, you can find real landraces out there.....but i guess it depends on which "definition" you use as landrace....as there seems to be a bit of confusion out there. As far as if there are any advantages....i mean, i guess it depends on what you are ultimately trying to achieve. As far as them being the ultimate wild strain....i think it should certainly be in the conversation.
