lamp and plant spacing

    what is a good distance to keep my 1000 watt lamp away from my plants? is it the same for all stages?

    my plants are very close to the lamb but my lights dont give off much heat.. put your hand about an inch an a helf away and if that feels a little warm to where it would dry sumthin out, then move it away further.. whjat kinda of lights do u got?

    ...careful...too close and that 1000w will fry smaller plants...

    10 centimeter per every 100 watts of light is a good rule
