Hello I been lookn at leds an was hoping some one can give me a rundown on whats good an what I need to do I see cheep ones an expensive ones just need sum more knolage any one mango420s
Im by no means an expert on led lighting, I personally use HID, but in general u get what u pay for ,especially so it seems when it comes to leds, for more detailed information I recommend looking at grow reports on either grass city forums or inter national cannagraphic magazine
Good rule of thumb is to go for 50w power draw from the mains per sqft. An LED advertised as 300w (100x3wchips) will only draw 150w. Mars hydro 5w leds work well, and are relatively cheap. I ran a 700w in 6.5sqft space with good results.

How many plants your considering growing? What size tent will you have? I've been using an LED light since midway through my first grow, currently on my 4th & 5th grows. My LED is meant to be 300w but the actually draw is 185w, I've been growing roughly x2 plants at a time. I was lucky and picked a cheap 2nd hand LED light via ebay, are you US or UK based?
Im usa bro cali baby my tent is 4 by 4 by 8 in about 3 to 4 plants with LST on a scrog net what is 300 watt be efficient enough or should I decrease to a lower wattage mango420s
