Knucklemonkey's Infinite Multi-Strain Grow

Discussion in 'Indoor Grow Journals' started by knucklemonkey, Feb 18, 2009.

  1. I'm content with soil for now simply because I am still figuring it out. I've read so much and learned so much but until harvest I won't be sure of just how well I've gotten @ soil.

But I would LIKE to learn hydro. I know virtually nothing about it other than it looks kind of complicated. Perhaps it isn't but it seems to be tricky.

And my goal is to eventually harvest one to two plants per week, so having 18 in the flower box right from jump street wasn't the plan. I'm not growing to sell, just to have awesome bud. I figured a minimum of 6 males but I'm not so sure that's going to happen. Stay tuned!

  2. I think 3 of my clones are not going to make it. It's all good, but I'm not sure wht happened to those 3 specifically. I've been trimming the cuttings aggressively like someone in this thread told me to do but these are the first 3 I used rooting gel with. They looked healthy a couple of days ago...now they look rotted. The other 15 clones all look pretty good.

  3. I took a picture of the 9 ladies in the flowering box with the lights off this morning. The 6 in the back are 1 1/2 weeks into flowering and the 3 in the front are 1/2 a week into flowering.

I went ahead and set up the air cooling for the light in the flowering box. It dropped the average temps in the box from around 78-82 to 73 all day today. Very sweet. The 3rd and 4th pics below show the setup.

Three of my clones died. None of the three showed any rooting whatsoever and they were the first three I used the rooting gel on. The first 6 I soaked in water and superthrive and they jumped up once they got a little humidity. These 3 with the cloning gel just died. I'm hoping the other 9 I used the gel on will live.

  5. hey macgyver is the way to go man!
Great lookin system you got in your flowering room.
How much did your lights run you?
    Ballast/light/hood

  6. numbers 4 7 and 8 are some of my favs

  7. looking good nucks!

  8. There is a link to the exact setup I have a couple of pages back. I think I paid around $350 each (I have the same setup in both boxes). That was the lights/ballast/hood kit. I also got 2 different bulbs, one for flowering and one for veg. Both seem to be rocking pretty well.

Thanks man! I'm putting in the work. I look around and see alot of grows that don't seem to be as solid as mine but no one says much here. Not complaining...just makes me wonder if my grow really looks good or not. So thanks for the kind words and for coming by, guys. I need all the support I can get. :hippie:

  9. The day after tomorrow I will be moving the 9 in the veg box to the flowering box to join the other 9 ladies. And I'm pretty well positive that all 9 of the first batch are indeed ladies. Not positive on the 3 most recent but pretty sure.

  10. thanks for the + rep buddy.. you seem to be a true green thumb!...those things are turning into some mad beautiful bushes...

  11. Yah man! Anyone that posts in my grow gets +rep. Dunno how I missed u before but I got it!

Thanks for the kind words, man. I'm really trying to put in the work.

  12. knucks your my underdog....Im rooting for you big time.

  13. I appreciate that man! (does that mean my grow currently sucks?)

  14. no it means your not High tech and dont have twenty green bars for rep or a well known grower, but your doing it right...organic and lovingly!

the best herbalists stay true to the roots!

  15. I'm low profile . I'm definately not a well known grower...this is my first real grow. Thanks for the kind words man. Around 6 more weeks and I should be able to see if I'm good at this or not. LOOKS good so far but will it SMOKE good. 6 weeks is a long time from now when you're as pumped as I am.

  16. I really enjoyed reading through your grow so far knuckle! I'm looking into starting my own grow operation in the near future, but unfortunately it won't be as robust as yours due to space/stealth limitations...

I studied abroad at the DTU outside of Copenhagen last semester, Denmark was a great country to spend time in. I wish I would have met more cool Danes like you instead of the nerdy types that DTU attracts... But I still managed to head to Christiania a few times a week of course!

Just wanted to drop in and say best of luck, can't wait to see the upcoming bud porn.

Thanks brother! Glad to see you stop by and thanks for the kind words! I'm a newbie grower but I'm really committed to doing this right. I update with pics every single day so hopefully someone enjoys it close to as much as I do.

Let me know if you start a journal bro and I'd like to follow it.

[edit: I thought all Danes were cool? :)]

  18. Tomorrow is the big day! I get to move the 9 vegging ladies into the flowering room with the 9 flowering ladies. I'm anxious to have that move made.

[note: 1st pic is of the flowering 9 with the light on, 2nd pic is from the same angle with the light off and the 3rd pic if of the 9 vegging LST monsters.]

  19. 18 plants are now in the flowering box and I'm actually hoping for a few males. It is crowded in there.

    15th day of flowering - [6 plants]
    8th day of flowering - [3 plants]
    1st day of flowering - [9 plants]

In a 48x48 space, 18 plants is pushing the limit. Especially as heavily LSTed and fimmed/topped as these 18 are. Bushmonsters stealing light everywhere.

[1st pic is of the flowering 18, 2nd pic is of 9 of the 18 clones (4 died and 5 are awaiting transplantation) in the veg room.]

I need some advice. Which of these should be the next two strains:
    C H I E S E L
    Masterkush
    Red Diesel
    Blue Cheese
    TrainWreck
    Strawberry Cough
    Power Skunk
    NL5 Haze Mist
    Dame Blanche
    Blueberry Skunk
    --------------
Two of these need to be germinated. If anyone is reading this, what do you think I should start with? All of the above are feminized but I have some White Widow seeds that are not femmed that I will be starting as well.

[note: Only pic is of the crowded flowering box.]
