  1. HIGH All, RW I just Love the Shit

    No I don't like it....Always see Problems.

If your Cuttings are slimey...chances are they won't make it..maybe try and cut O.F.F.F. the infected part.....some people make a Small dose of Solution..I don't just plain water for me.

Once roots show just plant into a Medium....and I don't think it'll be "simple as that"

I have a Pic somewhere on here...but my time is Limited as my Kid wants on the puter

  2. HIGH All, good Thread YoManItsMe....just took a Pic of mine...here's mine..don't laugh it woks.

  3. hey nice..it's very very similar to mine! I just changed the water and ph is about 5.5 NO NUTES and i cut some of the bigger leaves off! i added some H2O2 to kill any fungus that might have grown! only a teaspoon to about 2.5 gallons. I also had a branch i tried to clone and it didnt turn out to well..i guess the stems need to be nice and soft and green to get best clones! i will make a video today and throw it up! i also turned up the water heater to 76. I hope i see some roots soon

  4. Dude can we get a bug update?

  5. If this soesnt work you should make a bubbler, its what I use and its real easy...
this will prob work though, give it up to 10 days to see roots, make sure to cut your leaves in half to force roots... gluck man

  6. Exactly the same symptoms. The part of the stem poking through the rockwool looks a little soggy on some of them but the plants look good.

I'll snip the soggy part if you think it will help. Thanks for the tip bro.

Very cool. I will check it out.

I COULD NOT get rid of the white flies. The only thing I knew to do was to release all of the mantids in my outdoor gardens and drop pest strips in there. So now I have no bugs in the grow boxes (for the time being) but I STILL have these damn white flies! Neem oil, pest strips, mantids, ladybugs....nothing works man. And they caused me to alter my grow to the point of using a damn pest strip. Makes me sick to think about it.

I need really really basic instructions to build something like that and I have yet to come across really easy bubbler instructions. At this point I'd try anything.

I have roots showing on 1 of the 7 cuttings I am cloning. That's cool. But the other 6 don't look so good under the rockwool.

  7. I use a bubbler cloner similar to what this does....I dont use a plug or rockwool anymore...I drop the stems about a half inch into the water....the whole time the bubbler stone in the water is perking the stems with fresh o2 get your temps higher by placing a heat lamp over your hum dome ...it will make the water evaporate.

The solution needs to be 78-80 degrees. there needs to be movement of water...bubbles ect.

as soon as they root...its right into the soil no problems. be carefull with young baby roots....I let my clones stay in there sometimes a week after they have roots...pretty much making them hydro...my solution is seaweed extract, Clonetech rooting solution 1tsp to a gallon 1-0.5-1. CloneEx cloning gel.

  8. I just made it through my first cloning attempt and I was %100 successful! I used %100 vermiculite, cloning gel & super thrive. I also used a little scarification along with my 45 degree cut.

It turns out that for the first 6 or 7 days, the stem shows no sign of anything - then all of the sudden within another 3 to 5 days, the roots just grew like crazy! I think that the main ingredient to successful cloning is patience!

  9. Damn dude :( my bad sorry to bring up a soar subject. I lost my other grass city account and have been gone for a little bit. These white flies seem like some hybrid MONSTER destroying all who it oppose it. Well I am here anyway bugs or none.

  10. All of the family that has taken over my home and my life for the past month will be gone on Monday so for those of you who are still around I will get an update out by Tuesday hopefully. And I'll catch up on your journals in the days after that so I'm sorry for being a bad friend. I have had a total of 13 family members in my home over the past month and it has been hard to do anything for myself. I'm just glad the plants are doing well. More on that later ::D

  11. Hey knucks!

I know how it goes with the cloning, it took me quite a few tries and cuttings to get it right (I think I must have killed 10-20). I was frusterated that I couldn't get it to work, I tried rockwool in a humidity dome, I even built myself a DIY bubble cloner. Even that didn't work for me. What I finally ended up doing was buying a heat mat and heat mat regulator, some of those hockey puck looking peat moss things (Jiffy puck?) The first time I took clones and put them in the soaked peat moss pucks in a humidity dome with the heat mat underneath the tray, with a little water in the tray. They loved the constant 80 degrees compared to fluctuating from 65 to 85 every day. I only killed one out of 20 that round, and the next round I didn't even bother with the tray, I just put the clones in the peat moss, and the peat moss directly in a small container with soil, but also directly on the heat mat and covered with a humidity dome. They were growing roots through the side of the planter within 7 days!! Also I had 100% success rate, for the first time. So if you are soil, I say don't bother with the bubble cloner, IMHO.

I know how you feel with the family invasion, I recently had family for about a week and now have electricians working in my house this week and next. I'm glad your plants are doing good though, that is sometimes hard to maintain with so many other people controling time.

Sorry for the long rant lol. I hope that helps though because for a long time I wondered how these people here on GC were cloning so easily. You will find a way that works for you though!

P.S. when using a humidity dome for cloning with a heat mat, the humidity gets up pretty high, (which is good as long as it gets some air occasionally) so you need to slowly aclimate them to the lower humidity. I took one out straight from 80% humidity to 20% and it didn't like it very much.

Right on, man. Looking forward to seeing some more of your badass pics!

Oh yeah, x2 with Mandoluce. If and when I ever start cloning, I will definitely start with peat pucks. Keep it all soil so as not to further complicate things.

  13. I think mandoluce brought up a good point - I may have gotten a good success rate bc of steady temps.

  14. This too I found was important for soil growing. :hello:

Been awhile since I've taken time to post but here I am. Back and chopping. The 1st plant to be chopped is a white widow that has been flowering for 59 days. I had a bad soil mix and never figured out the ph of the water I was using until the 8th week so she'll get better aas i go but she's pretty anyway:

I took a semi-close shot of the trichs:

Since I will have at least one plant to harvest every week from now on, I will be posting more often. At least when I chop a plant each week. This week was White Widow that wasn't grown to maximum conditions. Each plant for the next 8 weeks will be better than the one before since I've tweaked a few thinks like water pH and I use only ocean forest soil now and my comfrey fert is about ready to start.

Plus I am flowering Red Diesel, Blueberry Skunk, White Widow, Chiesel and a wicked bagseed plant I kept running. Each week I will be harvesting at least one of each of these strains.

Still playing hell getting a cloning method that works well. My aerogarden keeps sliming up and I've got the pH where it needs to be and using that dyn k rooting stuff in the water... I still get slime on the stems. So pissed off about it too.

    I'm back.

  16. good show knucks...long time no see/hear/smell looking really good bro...have to spread rep to give some.

    anyways about the clones.

In the aero garden...use spring water, a drop of super thrive and a quarter tspn of seaweed extract also a few drops of molasis. and keep the lights really high.

always use a sterile blade...make sure your moms arent getting too much Nitrogen before you cut them.

use rooting gel...in a new cup every time..never contaminate the container and store the gel in a room temp place...if it smells funky its bad.

hope this helps...I been having issues with clones but you dont even want to know how many I have and what type of strains I have going....Im starting to loose it. I am moving to a new house...been doing alot of remodeling and cleaning. Ill be running a 6x12x7 with a growzilla(2000wt HPS) and two 600hps. I got some killer strains and I have been vegging my first round for over two months. come check it out some time...I miss taking to you. Stay up Kuncks:wave:

  17. What's up! Good to hear from you as it has been a few months. Yes, the cloning thing is killing me. I got some Dyna-Grow KLN K-L-N Rooting Concentrate for the water and I figured out the pH was way too high so I dropped the pH to about 5.5 and VIOLA! STILL SLIMY!

I wonder if the stem should touch the water or be above water level? I wonder why the bases keep getting slimy even though I have thoroughly cleaned the aerogarden and gotten the pH right and even gotten the rotting concentrate for the water... quite frustrated with cloning!

The White Widow is drying and I have an awesome bagseed baby that will be chopped in the next 3-10 days depending on how it looks, but take a look at the Red Diesel Porn here... it still has 2-4 weeks left I think but it's looking nice!

This is only my 2nd real grow and I feel like things are getting dialed in a bit better this time.

  18. Dude I think you may of just identified my problem that I have some times. I take my clone out of the dome and place it into soil and blam some of the leaves freak out and dry up... Thanks dude

  19. Thinking about resurrecting this thread... it's been a few minutes.
