  3. Yes! Went to dinner with my sis and her hubby last night, who will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary in September. Got high when I got home, was about 10 and a bit late to start but I did anyway. Don't remember what time I went to bed, lol. [IMG] [IMG]

Today, weather is suckage so no cruising in the hot rod, staying home and doing NOTHING! (well, doing wash and cooking of course). :(

I heard there are really rough parts of Jamaica that are completely overlooked by advertising and media. As a resident what's your view? I don't know anything other than what I've read and seen (in the Strain Hunters Jamaica video, excellent watch btw) so I'm very curious.

Is it cheap living there (in the non tourist areas)?

  7. Yep it's true.

the worst areas in Kingston is called Tivoli Gardens or Trench Town

tourists should never go there imo unless they want to get robbed or shot

Some areas are cheap lol but I lived in one of the nice areas when I was there.

  8. How many areas are rough? What would you say to a poor pasty white European American who wanted to make a life there?

  9. I assume that is in Jamaica?

  10. Well there's a lot to be honest with you but.there are rich neighbor hoods to like cherry gardens that's where my family and I lived over there. Stony hill is another nice area. White people living in Jamaica is not as uncommon as you might think tho there's quite a few.

  12. I wanted to open up a grow business there since they changed the laws. They got the real landrace strains there. Perfect for a wannabe breeder to make some exciting strains.

  15. Late to this discussion since I was on vacation.

    @Azzanadra , @Original Tonika

Obviously, if you're a gringo from the outside, the advice would be to stay the hell out of Kingston :smoke:

Get a peaceful piece of private land somewhere else beautiful but more remote, like Portland or Westmoreland.
Portland has some lovely beaches, but Westmoreland is home to Black River and some quality swamps, if getting away is your thing.

  19. I don't know that I can afford those nice places.

    "Kept you waiting, huh?"

  20. Doing fine here, thanks. Went to a picnic yesterday, was cool (60s) and rained the whole time. It was as fun as it could be. Was supposed to be a pickin' party but it was so wet we never took our instruments out. :(

And now we're heading for mid-90s later in the week. :D
