my buddy (shitloaf on the city) went back to my town for break and since he knew his rights he avoided a search becuase he wasnt doing anything wrong except being realy loaded. so thanks grasscity, that gives me hope
true. cops will try to trick you into releasing you rights, but as long as you tell them in clear words that you do not want to be searched, they've got nothing. Even if you smell like jerry garcia's beard.
That's not entirely true. If a cop smells weed, he has the legal right to search the car. It is true that they will try and play games to get you to consent though. I've been asked twice for a search of my car, but refused both times and I haven't been searched yet. Knock on wood...
