was planning on making wca with coral sand. While looking i found this hermit crab sand Which appears to be calcium carbonate plus magnesium carbonate. Wondering if I can use this and also get them some magnesium at the same time? Hoping for natural calmag! Would be using in no till bed..
Egg shells lightly toasted and ground will work but no mag included. KNF guys would know more on this.
Thanks man.. Yeah coral sand is the same idea as eggshells just easier. Heres hoping i hear from the knf community about this
Not sure about your material. Why not stick with something tried and true the first time around. This video is similar to the way I made my first batch of Calcium Phosphate. Here's a picture of my second batch from the fridge.
much agreed with the idea of tried and true.. I tend to take Chris Trump as gospel and he said the coral sand if the way to go.. Got some aragonite sand which is (pure calcium carbonite) the coral sand he was talking about.. 97 percent calcium, 3 percent mg with trace stronium.. According to Chris Trump this is the 5 day version of wca..
This is the source I've been using for KNF. The YouTube videos are all slightly different. I tend to place more faith in a University. Welcome to College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources, University of Hawai‘i search KNF natural farming.
