A trolley is hurtling down a track towards five people. You are on a bridge under which it will pass, and you can stop it by dropping a heavy weight in front of it. As it happens, there is a very fat man next to you(Insert individual) - your only way to stop the trolley is to push him over the bridge and onto the track, killing him to save five. Should you proceed? Am I insane for saying, "Yes?"
Where did this thought come from? And if we all were going to die then yours I'd shove him out faster than fly on poop
For every person that dies, another person is born. I'm not a man of contradiction. Bro.
Shit are you kidding? Theres like 3 or 4 people born
I would kinda just walk away and hope for the best. I don't like to getting involved with the police and i sure as hell dont want my name said all over TV so i would just walk home, smoke a fat bowl of kush, turn on the news and watch the madness unfold. Also what if that fat man just had a baby and shit going for him, and those 5 people where homeless? call me crazy but the planet is over crowded anyways...
These types of things would never happen. I wouldn't murder someone for any probable chance of anything, even saving humans. I would just stay uninvolved, what if someone was recording and saw me push a fat man to his death and then 5 others die right after him?
Depends what the fat dude lives and fights for in his life and whether or not the 5 people are douchebags, cuz I mean they are in front of a train and all.
You see, I think you need to edit your post. Why would those people be right in front of the trolley? Is this guy like 5000 pounds? But to answer your question, I would not push this man down. Why does he deserve to die for 5 people he most likely has never met in his life? Also, it is not his fault that those people are in front of the trolley. They got there in their own way, which he was not involved in. Edit: Definitely insane.
