Kief, mildew or something else, WTF is this stuff? PLZ help

So I buy a lot of bud. And different bud has different texture. When I grind up some weed, it leaves behind this excessive sandy, keif like substance. It's excessive, and it really cake up on you.

I have bought bud from Amsterdam that had this. Tons of the stuff on the UK has it, perhaps most. It gives the bud a kinda more grainy texture. IMO, the best bud is not like this at all. And you get stuff that isn't. That's the good stuff. But this stuff doesn't seem to bother most stoners. Usually, I can just look at the bud and know if it has this problem. It tends to have a different texture and smell.

Somebody told me, this is the product of using chemical ferts and yield increasers like silicon potassium, and other things. I have included pictures. Does anyone have any insight please? It's driving me a bit bonkers. This is peer reviewed bud, and everyone loves it. For bud with this stuff, it's as good as it gets.

Why does some weed have this excessive powder, dust like substance? Some does not. I can't see what the reason would be other than the chemical ferts or silicon potassium, which would do this. Just my guess.

 

I usually don't, but its all I have and for some reason, it's actually good. This dusty, powdery stuff, usually I do agree, it really sucks. This is the majority of bud that you buy in the UK. And lots in Amsterdam. Some people also say that it means something was added, sandblasted or something, but I'm not sure that's the case. Seems to me like it's a byproduct of some kinda additives in the growing process.

I agree, there is no reason for ferts on the bud, or any of this shit. But man, whaddya gonna do? Import from Canada. Same problem. I found one dude on the DMs who is legit, only one strain, but I got phished once and he got spooked since then, now he is not selling to me.

My regular dealers, well, at least one of them is honest. But the stuff he usually has to sell is this. My other dude, it's a crap shoot. But he will let me look at it before buying. That guy? He actually does get amazing shit, but it runs out, and then the next batch might suck, and I think it's all from the same grower too, which is the weird thing.

 

When I asked the seller of this stuff, about preferring my bud with less of this excessive kief like powder, he said you mean the trichomes?

 

You find that in Amsterdam too. It's extremely common here. Virtually no one has a problem with it. Almost not a single person. Some bud is really excessive with that stuff, some less so. But the quality bud, is not like this at all, imo.

But going back to my original point. NO ONE has a problem with it. This weed is peer reviewed by dozens and dozens of people. This vendor literally has hundreds of perfect scores. Other vendors who sold similar stuff, you will get some reviews, were people will say what I said, " Powdery and tasteless." It's very rare, but from time to time, you get someone who complains that it's powdery, in the reviews.

But 99.99999999999999% of the time, you will be told it's just trichomes and you are crazy. But there is something off, because this powdery stuff usually also has more of a chemically taste. Most people seem to like it. No one will tell you what it is. It's like some crazy conspiracy theory, no one will talk about, lol. I have multiple dealers, and I get from other sources too. This is very very common, but trying to discuss it is very difficult, since most smokers don't know enough to care, anyway.
