So as you may have heard, the "lonely stoner" rapper Kid Cudi is now Sober and quit smoking weed completely. How do you feel about this? I have mixed feelings myself and i'm curious as to how you guys feel.
Well im pretty sure his drug problems were much deeper then pot, so he probably just wanted to quit everything. Wouldnt be surprised to see him smokin a blunt again sooner or later...
If he stays sober it may take people a while to adjust considering most of his rise to fame is thanks to his love for the green. As long as his music doesn't suffer I don't really care to much whether he smokes or not. You don't have to be smokin the herb to love and respect the herb.
His next album is probably going to be terrible. Half the songs on Mr. Rager are straight garbage, I can't even listen to half that album. And I was a huge fan of Man On The Moon I and A Kid Named Cudi.
When 99% of their songs are about how they like to smoke, and is more than likely the inspiration behind their music and creativity.
he has about 3 songs that are about smoking weed. And 1 of those 3 involves drinking too. I say gratz, I don't see why he needs to quit smoking weed, but whatever.
I just celebrated a year of sobriety, and I still smoke. Honestly it all just comes down to self control. If he feels he can't partake in anything though, that's his choice and no one should be hating on him for it. Although I'm pretty sure he did this because he got busted for the second time, and needs to make it look like he's serious to the courts this time.
thats no excuse, I blow almost every day, I can quit coke right now and continue smoking weed while only slightly wanting to rail some lines. maybe thats just me lol
He got arrested for PCP remember, hes probably sobering up too get off the hard shit, also his 2nd album was garbage, Marijuana(the song) extremely disappointing, idc if he does stop smoking or does ice he's not the next great mary jane rapper, hes no Cypruss Hill to say the least
BUT I loved his 1st album, i don't want to seem like I never liked him, I had High ha get it, hopes for him, but he deff hit the sophomore slump, and his future isn't looking to bright in my opinion musically wise at least

if you dont like it then dont continue to support him, isnt that how it should be? i dont see whats wrong with Man on the Moon 2, he has a unique approach to the whole rap/hiphop and ive always dug his music for that.. so he quit smoking; his choice, gtfo his nuts lol. Most people probably dont realize when you get in the mainstream like that people try and pursued you and associate you with things you might not want to be involved with.. (played out, peer pressure) .. just sayin
Personally, I don't care about him. If he got sick, sure I'd feel bad for him, but otherwise I don't really pay attention to him.
