ever seen a 100k mile kia? they are rare, and on their way out. all of them. every one ive seen at least. same with hyundais. and i work at an auto shop.
I've got a 03 Rio wagon with just shy of 145k and runs strong and gets average 32mpg city and 39 hiway, who care's about looks when compared to value. For looks I have a Harley and it gets 42mpg city and 54 hiway, LOL And most bike makers copy it, and again who cares.

all car companies canniblize each others designs, i mean there are only so many different combinations of lines and curves that sheet metal can have. i really dont mind it, and i actually like it when different models from the same manufacturer share similar design cues.
They want to give people the feeling of driving a nice car for really cheap. How do you do that? copy the nice cars lol I won't lie though i really like the genesis i'd own one if i got the chance.
kia is a crappy brand to begin with... who cares what they do. btw i dont see the genesis/infinity resemblance.. there are only so many different fr coupe designs... as most cars look alike these days anyway. nissan cube, scion xb, honda element... its just the way things are man.

I have never had a single problem with it unlike my friends jetta with 36,000 on it and spent more time in the shop than anything. he got rid of it and bought a jeep. I am a lover of all cars, muscle especially but I also like imports euros, trucks, diesels. I never would have bought a kia but since it was a gift for my birthday i wasnt complaining. I absolutely hated hated hated the idea of driving a kia at first but the car grew on me. It has been nothing but good to me and I have been slowly modifying my spectra since I got it and I get nothing but positive feedback. It looks better than most civics on the road and there is some aftermarket support. All of you are incredibly ignorant and when Kia is just as popular as Honda well see who is laughing. Everybody said the same thing about honda toyota and hyundai - look at where they are now. The quality is there in the new kias, but the stigma attached from the 90s still apparently has left a bad taste in peoples mouths. My cousin and his family are DIE HARD GM people... They only buy gm cars. 4 suburbans, 2 corvettes, 2 yukon xls, envoy, 2 cadillac esv, oldsmobiles.... After they have seen the abuse my kia takes and how well it still runs (like new) he may be buying a 08 rio since he needs a new commuter car for work.
Sorry but any carmaker who copies Chrysler/Dodge is destined for failure. They should take lessons from hyundai/kia and start building cars that arent so god damned half assed... I mean on the dodge cars they leave two exhaust outlets for a single exhaust if you dont buy the top model!!! IT LOOKS SO TACKY AND CHEAP!!! EVERYTHING in those cars from the cheap materials they use on the interior to the ugly body styling and poorly designed engines needs to be reworked. Kia and Hyundai have been selling more cars than anyone. In 2008, Hyundai was the only company to sell more cars than they did the year before and for the record, a shitty dodge or chrysler wont hold a candle to any new hyundai or kia. Most of you are still are your stoop barking about how crappy these brands are but Hyundai's quality is just as good, if not better than honda and toyota. Kia and Hyundai share many parts so to single out kia is also stupid. For the record, the new genesis coupe has ~300hp and is a korean mustang killer.
Id rather have a car that looks better than a scion and I dont have to see 10000 of them every time i go for a drive. Its also fun walking by them on the on-ramp. also every car you listed is incredibly ugly/retarted.

I did not miss your point, look at the crossover segment now... A few years ago no such thing existed. One company came out with this new style of car (which i happen to hate) and now most makers have a model dedicated to the "crossover" style. Cadillac srx, nissan murano, ford taurus x, ford freestyle. They are all copies, and so are many other cars but people dog kia because its korean and it used to be the shittiest carmaker ever. The point i am making is that the new kias are very reliable that is why they have the 100k warranty. I have 93k on mine and I havent brought it in for a single problem on warranty
Doesnt look that similar to the lexus to me.. anywho, kia and hyundai have really upped their build quality in the last 4-5years and their cars look alot better these days. Kia/hyundai are no longer the crappiest cars you can buy they have been replaced by the chickety chinaman car brands popping up everywhere (and proton.. fuck proton)
Kias are good for the money. I'd much rather take a fully loaded econ line sedan from Kia then a barebones Toyota/Honda.
