Keif color? <pics>

    Ok, so we have never saved keif before but I got one of those 4 piece grinders witht the screens and all for the husband for christmas and we have collected it for about a half oz now. We dont smoke "great" stuff but usually a nice mid. So these pics are about half of what is saved now. My thing is..the keif looks so green and ugly compared to the other pics i've seen on here that are a beautiful honey color. I believe the screen is small enough but it almost looks like a bunch of the hairs are going through the screen. What do you guys think? Should I refilter? I plan on pressing it and I really dont want a bunch of organic garbage to mess up the whole batch. Any advice? :)

    yea looks like there is some greenery in there but idk if there is much u can do about it. im sure you can still press it pretty easily and if not just sprinkle a little on your bowl each time.

    mmm keif looks pretty good of course we seen better but its still pretty nice, you should get more and make hash :)< how much weed did it take to make that much keif (in the jar)

    i think the color you're looking for with kief is the background for everyones name/avatar/title/location. it looks liek you're getting some really small plant matter in there, but it should still press and smoke fine. to get rid of the plant matter you'd need to install a finer screen in your grinder, or just sift what you have now through one of those fine screens, and collect what has sifted through.

    Yeah I guess its a bit green, its not gonna affect your smoke much though. First time I gather a bunch of kif was just by grinding a ton in a coffee grinder and scraping the edges. There was alsways little bits of green shit in it and it was still amazing smoke. If your worried about it you can go by a smaller screen from a hardware store and run your kief through it again. I'm guessing to get all the green out you'd need a screen at least 125 microns or smaller.

    My kief looks like WHITE SAND, but kief is kief, and it'll get you BLAZED--have fun with that.

    Sounds to me like your using a lower quality "4 piece grinder". All my friends are baffled when they see the kif I get from my space case, when you compare it to the kif they get from their 30 buck imitations, theres waaay more greenery when looked at zoomed up.

    Nothing you can really do about it, not like your kif is bad, its faaaaaaar from it.
