can i just inspect regularly and trim off pollen sacs to keep hermies or even males from messing up my crop?
if you know its a hermie, seperate it. if its a male, kill it. you can grow hermie's with very few seeds. just trim the sacs once they show up. it stresses the plants a bit, but shouldnt be a problem
you would have to completely isolate the males, females, and hermies. to me i dont think its worth it.
its just so not worth it for the amount of THC in a male or rather the lack of THC males have fuck all, you will waste your time & Effort on growing males, plus the hash u get if any will be worthless & gives u headache alot of the time
As soon as I was able to identify my males as males, I cut them. I made qwiso hash from them, two 3' plants gave me like half a gram of hash. Not really worth it IMO. I had 5 plants, 2 were male, 2 female, the last one is a hermie. I decided to keep it since it's just bag seed and my hermie was the healthiest of all the plants. I just checked the plant every morning for pollen sacs and pulled any off with tweezers. I spray the plant with seltzer water every couple days to help keep the pollen down on it. It will probably give me seedy bud in the end, but this is my first grow and it's just bagseed, so I figured whatever.
