Hey blades I got a question for you guys. I'm taking a social media strategies class and in it we got to create a media plan for a company either fictional or real life. My concern is my friend told me about a business venture he had a couple of weeks ago and upon getting to class and hearing about the final project in this class(basically the only grade) I realized that it would be hella easy to do it with his business, so I decided to use it and began to formulate a plan.

The issue is now that I brought up the idea to him and he shot it down since he doesn't want it stolen. Even though I told him the only person who would see it would be me and my professor(she has a set profession so she isn't going to steal an idea) and I know that I wouldn't.

So my question is should I continue as is with his idea and just not say anything or think of a new one?(First graded update is due Tuesday so with 4/20 tomorrow it would be tough to do..)

So should I scrap it or just do it? I know it's my fault for not asking but it's not like I'm going to steal his idea, I did it so I could help him down the road if he creates his business but he's being paranoid.

TLDR: Friend has a business idea which fits the criteria of my final project like a glove. I thought he would be cool if I used it and he wasn't. Soooo should I go in a new direction or stay course?
